These terms cover your use of the Mom's Feast website and app (“Mom's Feast”, “we”). By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them.
1. What Mom's Feast is
Mom's Feast is a marketplace that connects buyers with independent home chefs. Chefs prepare, sell and (where offered) deliver their own food. We are not the seller of the food.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep your password safe.
- One account works on both the website and the app.
- We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
3. Orders and payment
- An order is placed when it is paid by card or confirmed for cash on delivery. Prices, delivery fee, platform fee and taxes are shown before you order.
- Card payments are authorised when you order and charged when the chef accepts. If the chef declines or does not respond in time, the authorisation is released.
- For cash orders, you agree to pay the chef the order total on delivery or pick-up.
- A first-order discount applies once per buyer.
4. Cancellations, problems and refunds
If your order is wrong, unsafe or not as described, report it from the order. We review complaints and may refund card payments. Cash refunds are arranged case by case.
5. Chefs
- Chefs must complete verification (identity, address, kitchen, food-safety quiz and agreements) before listing food, and must follow food-safety law where they operate.
- Chefs set their own prices, hours and delivery fees. Mom's Feast charges a commission on food sales, currently 7%.
- Chefs are responsible for the food they prepare, including accurate descriptions and allergen information.
6. Allergies
Home kitchens handle many ingredients. If you have an allergy, check the dish details and contact the chef before ordering. Do not order if you are unsure.
7. Acceptable use
No fraud, abuse of chefs or buyers, fake reviews, or attempts to move payments off the platform to avoid fees.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Mom's Feast is not liable for the preparation of food by chefs. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell you about material changes before they apply.
